I'M GRANTED REFUGEE STATUS IN GREECE. CAN I BRING MY FAMILY FROM ANOTHER COUNTRY TO GREECE?

Yes you can, but only if you are granted refugee status. Unfortunately, it is not possible to apply to bring family members to Greece if have been granted subsidiary protection or if you are still an asylum seeker. If you have refugee status and want to bring your family to Greece, you have to apply at the Regional Asylum Office that was responsible for you. In order to make the process simpler, you should apply within three months after being granted refugee status, at the latest. If you do so, then you don't need to have a job and house to bring your family members. When you go to apply, make sure to bring the decision that says you are granted refugee status and, if you already have it, your residence permit. Make sure you also give your current phone number to the Asylum Service, so they can contact you. A caseworker from the responsible family reunification unit in Athens will get assigned to you, and will follow your case and explain to you what you need to do to successfully complete your application. Please know that, unfortunately, the process can be complicated and take a really long time.ι
