DUBLIN APPROVALS FOR DECEMBER AND JANUARY TO GERMANY CAN ALSO BOOK THEIR TICKETS

In reaction to our post on Wednesday, a lot of people have written to us and told us that Dublin approvals for Germany from December and January are also allowed to book their tickets. We have asked the Greek Asylum Service and they have confirmed that this is true. They have also confirmed that approvals from June 2017 are currently booking their tickets, and that after this the following months (from July-November 2017) will be able to book. That means that at the moment, Dublin approvals for Germany from June 2017 can book their flights, as well as the Dublin approvals to all countries from December 2017 and January 2018, including Germany. This was done as a precaution, as German authorities have been much stricter recently. Normally, all Dublin transfers should take place after 6 months at the latest. The Greek Authorities were afraid that more recent approvals, might have troubles from Germany if they are transferred in more than 6 months after their approval. Again, you will still be able to travel to Germany, if you were approved between June and November 2017, even if the transfer takes more than 6 months after your approval. At the moment, you still have to pay your ticket on your own. It is absolutely essential that the travel agency confirms your booking with the Dublin Unit.
