It is very hard to say how long it will take after your asylum interview until you will get your decision. This depends on many different criteria, such as which Regional Asylum Office is responsible for your case, your nationality and the complexity of your case. We have seen cases where it took 12 months after the interview until a decision was issued. Although the number of employees in the Asylum Service is rising from year to year, there are still not enough employees at the moment to process the high amount of applications in a timely manner.
Often decisions are issued to applicants when somebody goes to the Regional Asylum Office to renew the white card. In general, even if you haven't received your decision a few months after your interview, this normally doesn't mean that there is a problem with your case.
