IS IT TRUE THAT GERMANY HAS REJECTED ALL FAMILY REUNIFICATION REQUESTS FROM GREECE?ι

Although Germany has rejected a lot of family reunification requests from Greece under the so called "Dublin Regulation", it is not true, that all requests have been rejected. In 2019, Greece has asked Germany to take responsibility of 626 asylum applications, because a family member is already residing in Germany. But the German Asylum Service (BAMF) has rejected 472 of these requests, which is more than three-quarter of the requests. As Germany and also other countries are at the moment rejecting a lot of family reunification cases, it is very important that you look for legal aid if you have a family reunification. Also you should bring all documents proving your family relationship and contact details with your family member in the other member state already to your first appointment with the Greek Asylum Service. If you have any questions about family reunification, please send us a message.
