About Mobile Info Team

Mobile Info Team (MIT) envisions a world in which people disadvantaged by displacement or migration have unhindered access to fundamental rights, dignity and the autonomy to shape their future. 

MIT’s work is built on two core pillars:

  • We work alongside people disadvantaged by displacement or migration in Greece to navigate complex legal systems by providing accessible information and tailored case support, empowering them to assert their rights.

  • We use our daily interactions with people to advocate for systemic change at national and EU levels, amplifying the voices of those affected by exclusionary policies and campaigning for a just asylum and migration system.

What we are looking for

Mobile Info Team is seeking an independent, dedicated, compassionate individual with experience in human resources or volunteer management, ideally in the humanitarian aid sector. 

Duties and responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee the recruitment, plan interviews and communicate with applicants 

  • Ensure safe recruitment guidelines

  • Interview applicants for caseworkers, interpreters, and supporting volunteer roles and set up hiring committees for coordination and management team positions

  • Overall human resources administration, in line with GDPR guidelines

  • Responsible for updating and implementations of HR related policies and agreements (e.g. volunteer agreements, code of conduct)

  • Plan onboarding and offboarding process of team members

  • Plan trainings and meetings related to wellbeing topics and support capacity building of the team

  • Make sure wellbeing resources are accessible and up-to-date

  • Device management: oversee and manage the assets, devices and information infrastructure of the organisation

  • Oversee adherence to Digital Security protocols

  • Act as a Safeguarding focal point for the team and oversee adherence to, training on and further development of the Safeguarding policy together with the Designated Safeguarding Lead

Profile

  • Experience in volunteer management or human resources

  • Interest and affinity with humanitarian/NGO service delivery in the Greek refugee context

  • Experience in drafting, updating and implementing HR policies 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Professional proficiency in English and excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Good organisational and time management skills, ability to plan and prioritise own workload

  • Administrative and IT/digital skills (Google Suite, Zoom, etc.).  Knowledge of digital security is an asset

  • Experience in dealing with breaches of Code of Conduct, Safeguarding issues and/or conflict management is an asset

Conditions

  • Stipend: 750 euros per month

  • Commitment: at least 9 months, preference will be given to candidates who are able to commit for longer

  • Working hours: full time position for 6 months, possibility of working 4.5 days per week thereafter (with same stipend)

  • Start date: June 2025/ as soon as possible

  • Holidays: 24 days off per 12 months, on top of Greek bank holidays

  • Location: the role is based in Thessaloniki, and you must be eligible to reside and work in the EU

  • Working from home or remotely for short periods is possible in agreement with the needs of the team
