Mobile Info Team (MIT) envisions a world in which people disadvantaged by displacement or migration have unhindered access to fundamental rights, dignity and the autonomy to shape their future. 

MIT’s work is built on two core pillars:

  • We work alongside people disadvantaged by displacement or migration in Greece to navigate complex legal systems by providing accessible information and tailored case support, empowering them to assert their rights.

  • We use our daily interactions with people to advocate for systemic change at national and EU levels, amplifying the voices of those affected by exclusionary policies and campaigning for a just asylum and migration system.


What we are looking for

Mobile Info Team is seeking an independent, dedicated, compassionate individual with a legal background and proven experience in project management, ideally in the humanitarian aid  or refugee support sector. The ideal candidate is capable of navigating complex legal systems and has experience in operational leadership.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Monitor and research changes in legal frameworks and procedures affecting people on the move in Greece

  • Train and brief the team on relevant developments

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of MIT’s medium- and long-term strategic objectives, in close collaboration with the management team members

  • Draft, review and approve SOPs and ensure time updates and team alignment

  • Lead on documentation for legal case handling and information provision protocols and guidelines

  • Provide legal input on complex cases and ensure alignment with MIT’s case management strategy and procedures

  • Accountable for the information provision provided by MIT

  • Supervise members of the coordination team

  • Manage structural partnerships, including negotiating and drafting of MoUs

  • Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring policy compliance, delivery of training, and policy improvement

Profile

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in team management, operational coordination or project management, ideally within humanitarian aid projects

  • Relevant academic qualification in Law, Human Rights Law, or any other relevant study

  • Experience in legal casework and/or information provision for asylum seekers and refugees, ideally within Greece

  • Ability to research and interpret complex legal frameworks and translate them into practical application

  • Good organisational, strategic planning and time management skills, ability to plan and prioritise own workload and drive completion of projects 

  • Ability to spot opportunities for quality improvement, solve challenges and create solutions

  • Excellent relationship management and negotiation skills and ability to translate the wishes and needs of multiple stakeholders into actions

  • Adept at working in variable context, comfortable with unpredictability and change

  • Interest and affinity with humanitarian/NGO service delivery in the Greek refugee context

  • Experience in drafting, updating and implementing SOPs and policies

  • Understanding of working in an online environment, e.g. ability to work in spreadsheets, with different online communication tools

  • Professional proficiency in English and excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Greek language is considered an asset 

  • Experience in dealing with breaches of Code of Conduct, Safeguarding issues and/or conflict management is an asset

Conditions

  • Compensation: 1500 euros per month including VAT (if applicable)

  • Commitment: 12 months 

  • Working hours: full time position

  • Start date: August 2025

  • Holidays: 24 days off per 12 months, on top of Greek bank holidays

  • Location: the role is based in Thessaloniki, and you must be eligible to reside and work in the EU

  • Working from home or remotely for short periods is possible in agreement with the needs of the team
